Reproduction of Some Newly Identified Chestnut Genotypes by Different Grafting Methods From West Anatolia

Aim of study: In the study, most successful grafting method and chestnut genetypes that are best adapted to Düzce Kaplandağı population were tried be determined. 
 Area Chestnut seeds used as rootstock material collected from natural forests Kaplandağı, Cumayeri district province. Material methods: this for first time identified by us, 20 well-known fruit qualities, two locally known (Serdar Erfelek), three foreign (Maraval, Marigoule, Bethizac) genotypes used. It was investigated success methods using 25 different (budding, cleft tongue grafting). The seedlings genotype. which grafted on types Kabalak, İbradı, Paşaormanı, Erfelek, Hacıömer, Serdar, Akçakoca 1, Alaplı Çongara, Fındıklı Gümeli 2, Ereğli-Yazıören, Paşaormanı black, 3, Ereğli-Nevzat, yellow, Yığılca-Vedat, Yığılca-Çakır, Ibradı 2. Maraval, Bouche de Bethizac.
 Main results: determined stabile temperature humid conditions affected achievement techniques. While lowest in budding, same have a rate 63%. Among varieties, Çongara (98%) had highest while 2 (20%) success. As result, grafting, found İbradı 1. Also, sapling obtained study taken under ex-situ protection University campus orchard.
 Highlights: them (Pasaormanı 1) observed resist against gall wasp.
